The aim of the study is to prepare professionals with engineering skills for the rapidly growing field of production, application, and modification of materials containing nano-objects and thin layers. Students will acquire knowledge and practical skills focused on the issues of emulsions and aerosols, solid materials containing nanoparticles, nano-porous materials, chemical, micro-systems, thin films and thin-film sensors. Students will become familiar with a wide range of modern technologies for the characterization of the structure of materials and their application properties.


Graduates of the bachelor's degree usually continue in the master study at the UCT Prague in programmes such as Chemical engineering and bioengineering, Sensors and cybernetics in chemistry and Physical chemistry. Due to the high proportion of universal science and technology education graduates may possibly find application as a qualified specialist in a wide spectrum of production enterprises of chemical, pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic, paper, electrical, and manufacturing industry.
