Life with a Computer
At our faculty, the Department of Mathematics, Informatics, and Cybernetics regularly organizes a unique lifelong learning program for seniors called "Life with a Computer", part of the University of the Third Age (U3V). This two-year course helps parents and grandparents become digitally independent—whether it's sending emails, searching the web, booking train tickets, or shopping online. The first year focuses on essential computer skills, text editing, data handling in Excel, internet safety, and even using AI tools. The second year is fully dedicated to digital photography, including taking, editing, and sharing photos (with loaned cameras and lifetime software licenses). Taught in a friendly, small-group setting by experienced instructors on our Dejvice campus, the program has already helped hundreds of seniors become confident digital users. No more 24/7 family tech support—send them back to school instead!
