Georgia Koutentaki and Jan Vališ recognized as Community Heroes

At the Czech Data Stewards Community Meeting, held on 25 September 2025 at the National Library of Technology under the auspices of EOSC CZ, UCT Prague celebrated a double success. The Community Heroes award was presented to two of our colleagues – Georgia Koutentaki, MEng. and Ing. Jan Vališ, both from FCE.

Both are part of a four-member team at UCT Prague that supports researchers in setting up rules for research data management and in implementing the FAIR principles. Their outstanding activity and contribution to the data stewards’ community earned them this recognition, which was awarded to only six laureates across the Czech Republic this year.
