Two New Emeritus Professors at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering
Today, two distinguished members of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering at UCT Prague—Professor Pavel Hasal and Professor Milan Kubíček—received their decrees appointing them as Emeritus Professors from the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Michal Přibyl.
The title of Emeritus Professor is awarded to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development of the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague through their achievements in research, education, and academic leadership.
Professor Pavel Hasal has been a member of UCT Prague since 1992. His research focuses primarily on the nonlinear dynamics of chemical engineering and biological systems, fluid flow analysis, bioengineering, and reactor engineering. Throughout his career, he has also made a significant contribution to the development of both the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and UCT Prague as a whole, serving in leadership positions including Vice-Dean and Vice-Rector, while mentoring numerous successful graduates and doctoral students.
Professor Milan Kubíček has been associated with the Faculty for more than fifty years. His research interests include the application of mathematics in chemical engineering, particularly numerical methods, optimization, mathematical modelling, and dynamical systems. During his career, he has participated in numerous international research projects and has played an important role in developing long-term collaborations with universities around the world.
