Student Scientific Conference 2025
In the academic year 2025/2026, the traditional Student Scientific Conference (SVK 2025) took place at the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague (UCT Prague) on 20 November 2025. The conference annually provides bachelor’s and master’s students with the opportunity to present the results of their research projects and gain valuable experience in professional scientific presentation before an expert panel.
This year, the Faculty of Chemical Engineering hosted 21 specialised sections, with a total of 166 students presenting their work. The conference also welcomed four students from other universities, namely Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU Bratislava) and Technical University of Liberec, contributing to inter-institutional exchange and collaboration.
Each participant presented their research in the form of a short oral presentation evaluated by committees composed of UCT Prague academic staff. As is tradition, representatives of the industrial sector also took part in the evaluation process and awarded selected contributions with financial and in-kind prizes. The conference programme further included the introduction of jury members and presentations by sponsoring and partner companies, offering valuable opportunities for students to establish future professional contacts.
The ceremonial presentation of diplomas to the awarded students traditionally took place in the AI building, attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Michal Přibyl. The official programme was followed by an informal afterparty, providing space for further discussion and networking among students, academics and industry representatives.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all sponsors of the Student Scientific Conference, whose support made the event possible. Special thanks go to the gold partners: Zentiva, Orlen Unipetrol and PRO.MED.CS, as well as the silver partners: MSD, Nicolet.CZ, FZU and SIDAT, and to all bronze partners and contributors of in-kind prizes.
The Student Scientific Conference has long been an important platform for supporting young talent and strengthening cooperation between academia and industry, and this year once again confirmed its significant contribution to the academic and professional development of students.
The Dean’s office would like to congratulate all of the winners, esp. to Kamila Yesmurzayeva, who is the first student in the Faculty’s English study programme who has won the 1st prize.
