On Monday, 15 December 2025, the Rector’s Awards 2025 were ceremoniously presented during the traditional UCT Prague Advent Concert held at the Bethlehem Chapel. The awards honour teachers, staff members and students who make an outstanding contribution to the development of the university.
We warmly congratulate the award recipients from our faculty: Kamila Klaudisová, Václav Verner and Vít Svoboda.

Kamila Klaudisová

For outstanding contribution to the development of the university in the field of administrative and managerial support

Ing. Kamila Klaudisová, Ph.D., is a graduate of the Faculty of Food and Biochemical Technology at UCT Prague. She began her academic career in 2001, focusing on packaging materials and modern food packaging technologies, the field in which she also completed her Ph.D. Since 2010, she has served as Secretary of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, where she ensures the smooth administrative operation of the faculty leadership and provides support for doctoral studies. She considers open communication, active listening and an environment that encourages initiative across the faculty and the university to be the key factors behind success.

Václav Verner

For outstanding achievements in student scientific activity and exemplary representation of the university

Václav Verner is a student of Chemistry who was granted accelerated studies due to his exceptional results at the International Chemistry Olympiad. He is also involved in research groups at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IOCB Prague), focusing on peptide synthesis for medicinal applications. In spring, he published his first major research paper as second author in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry and is actively involved in organizing chemistry competitions.

Vít Svoboda

For outstanding achievements in science and research

Ing. Vít Svoboda, Dr. sc. ETH Zürich, has led his own research group at UCT Prague since 2024, focusing on attosecond spectroscopy and molecular dynamics. He obtained his doctoral degree at ETH Zürich and subsequently worked at leading research institutions in Germany and the United States. He publishes in top-tier scientific journals and is also active in science communication, including as a member of the initiative Ask a Scientist. His research focuses on ultrashort laser pulses and the dynamics of chiral molecules; for his work in this field, he has received the international Dream Chemistry Award.
