Chemical Engineering PhD Students Succeed at International Conference

PhD students Anna Šmídová and Ludmila Řiháková from the Kosek Group, led by Professor Juraj Kosek at the Department of Chemical Engineering, won 1st and 3rd place for the best posters at the 15th International Workshop on Polymer Reaction Engineering, held in Potsdam, Germany, in early September. The conference takes place in Europe once every three years.

Anna Šmídová focuses on modeling interfacial tension in polymer–solvent mixtures, while Ludmila Řiháková’s experimental research focuses on chemical recycling and the removal of additives from polymer materials.
