Karel Štulík Award 2026

Students of the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague, were successful in this year’s Karel Štulík Award, a competition for the best student scientific work in analytical chemistry. The competition is organized by the Analytical Chemistry Division of the Czech Chemical Society for students from the Czech Republic and Slovakia and continues the tradition of the former Merck Award competition. It is announced each autumn and culminates in a scientific conference held in January or February, where the submitted works are presented and the winners are announced.

In this year’s edition, Marek Beneš from the Department of Analytical Chemistry at UCT Prague received second place. Additional awards were also given to UCT Prague students: the Metrohm Special Award was presented to Michal Šerfel (Department of Analytical Chemistry), and the Jury Special Award was awarded to Matyáš Garnol and Monika Maroušková, both from the Department of Analytical Chemistry at UCT Prague. We warmly congratulate all awarded students and wish them continued success in their scientific work.
