Jan Vališ Awarded at Spring SciX Conference

Ing. Jan Vališ from the Department of Analytical Chemistry received the Best Presentation Award in Infrared Spectroscopy at the Spring SciX conference held in Exeter (United Kingdom).

The presentation builds on an Erasmus+ research stay at the Technological University of Dublin (Ireland) and on long-term collaboration with the Department of Mathematics, Informatics and Cybernetics. The research combines vibrational spectroscopy and machine learning for biomedical diagnostics. The talk also highlighted the importance of FAIR spectra, which are available as an open dataset for this research. This work aligns with the active involvement of the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague and its data stewards in both national and international research data management communities.
