Every autumn, the Student Scientific Conference (SVK) takes place at the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague. This event provides an opportunity for bachelor’s and master’s students to present the results of their research projects.

In 2025, all sections hosted by the Faculty of Chemical Engineering will once again be open to students from other Czech and Slovak universities. (Please note: the number of external participants may be limited due to capacity.)

Student contributions are divided into several sections based on their field of study. Each participant presents their work in a short oral presentation before a professional committee. It has become a tradition that, in addition to evaluation by UCT Prague academics, students’ work is also assessed and rewarded by industry representatives — with material or financial prizes.

The conference day also includes the introduction of the evaluation committee members and a presentation by a sponsoring company, offering an opportunity to connect with students for potential future collaboration.

This event strongly supports cooperation between the academic and industrial sectors and helps align mutual interests.

Most detailed information — including archives of past editions, proceedings, photo galleries, and registration details — is available on the Czech version of the SVK website.
