Global Women’s Breakfast

Save the Date for #GWB2025 “Accelerating Equity in Science” on February 11!

Join us on February 11, 2025 for the IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast (#GWB2025). Held in conjunction with the U.N. Day of Women and Girls in Science, the goal of the GWB series is to establish an active network of people of all genders to overcome the barriers to gender equality in science. Over the last five years, more than 2000 GWB events have been held in 100 countries.

We invite you to Global Women’s Breakfast at the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague (UCT Prague). The event will take place in Uhelna 9-11am (Technická 5, Prague 6).

The event will last approximately two hours, it will be introduced by the organizer Jitka Čejková and Anna Mittnerová, who will summarize the past, present and especially the future of women at UCT Prague. After that, the program includes short speeches by successful women from UCT Prague, who will share their life and career stories, and there will also be space for a presentation of the organizations that supports women in science.

It will be an informal meeting, everyone is invited regardless of gender. As the name suggests, breakfast will be served (so please register in advance).

  • Discussions with women leaders
  • Gender equality in the work place
  • Building professional networks
  • Finding research collaborators
  • Achieving work-life balance
  • Mentoring
